Brownies raise money for Children with Leukaemia

1st Hemyock Brownies are seen here celebrating with their certificates and rewards for raising £617.75 for Children with Leukaemia, through the Children’s Marathon Challenge and the Cheeky Monkey’s Marathon Challenge.

The girls were sponsored this year to find 26 specific things hidden in the church and churchyard gaining rewards from the charities depending on how much money they raised.

Since they first took part in the Challenges in 2003 they have raised a total of £2393.12 with £200 of this going to Guiding work abroad with the remainder going to children with leukaemia.
