Sun cream and hats have made a debut for the children as they start to enjoy the warmer months. The outdoor play area is a huge hit and the large outdoor blackboard and beautifully painted 'Erin's House' are both very popular activities. Themes for this term have included our planet, what things are made of, recycling, eating healthily and looking after the environment. By the time you read this, the children will have been visited by some donkeys from the Donkey Sanctuary.Returning our thoughts to Easter, much chocolate was to be eaten and the Easter Treasure Hunt was our best fundraiser for five years, raising just over £276. Thanks to everyone who bought a grid or two around Hemyock, especially those who frequented the Catherine Wheel on the odd night one or two of our committee decided also to quench their thirsts!
The Easter Bingo saw a huge turnout and we raised £317. Thank you also to Sally Tovey for raising £122 during a half marathon. Future events include a Summer Bingo (26th June, 7.15 pm in the Village Hall) and Pedal and Push.
We can never thank everyone in the local community enough for their support with our fundraising. A significant amount of money has to be raised every year to keep Pre-School buoyant and functioning effectively. It is used to maintain our premises, update our stock of toys and buy everyday essentials so children can learn and develop through play. Thank you again for all your support.
