February Acorns Meeting Was Well Attended

The meeting of the Acorns was well attended when members met in Forbes Lounge on Wednesday February 18.

During the business part of the meeting, Christine Brown was elected as Vice President. She was thanked by the Chairman Mary Hawkins for taking on the position. Members had come to listen to a talk by Dee, Angela and Jack from Milford and Dormer a firm of solicitors about Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Despite the serious subject, between them, they made it almost entertaining as well as informative.

The talk was followed by welcome refreshments and an excellent raffle. Hemyock Acorns meet every third Thursday in the month at 2.45pm in Forbes Lounge, part of the Parish Hall. Anyone over 55 will be made very welcome.
