Those who went, will recall that in June Valley Arts and Social Society held a most successful launch evening, guests enjoyed a black tie dinner provided by Karin and Jane followed by a well used professional casino. The hall was transformed into a night club for the evening, with plenty of cocktails to try and Jason Baxter playing jazz music throughout.
Well In August Valley Arts members are taking part in a treasure hunt and BBQ.
They are also proud to be staging their first production with music and dance in October. The production is” Beauty and the Beast” and meetings have started in the Forbes Lounge on Thursdays at 7.30pm.
They are delighted that our well known, experienced NODA Rep, Janet Elworthy is joining the Group to direct the production. Janet is planning a modern, high quality, fun production with singing and dancing. Her daughter Jo, who works at the Globe Theatre in London, has agreed to choreograph the show!
The view is that there are the ingredients for an excellent production

The Group prides itself on being a social group of individuals so new members are always welcome.
This is especially so now that we are gearing up for the October production. We don't just want players, but if you want to give a hand back stage etc then we would love to see you. See the notices around the village for more information or go to our website
