A Happy New Year to you all!Sadly, due to the weather, our social evening in January had to be cancelled so we have missed out on the quizzes organized for us by Christine and Brenda and the great entertainment as usual from Mac and Paul. Maybe we will be able to slot these items in later in the year.
Our meeting on 10th February has Mr Squires telling us everything there is to know about Sweet Peas and on 10 March we have a representative from Hestercombe telling us all about the restoration of those gardens.
Another reminder that our Spring Show is on Saturday, 27th March, 2010 at 2.30 p.m. and the following are the classes open to non-members, so this advance notice should give you all plenty of time to prepare your entries!
Class 46 Photograph - The Beauty of the Blackdowns
Class 47 Painting - Rural Landscape
Class 48 Complete the Limerick "In 1790 they say, shoelaces first came our way"
Class 49 Handmade Easter Card
We would also like to advise everyone that on 8 May, we will be holding a Spring Fayre in the Parish Hall selling bedding plants etc. so make a note in your diary not to miss this.
Look forward to seeing you all again on 10th February - as always new members will be made very welcome.
