Welcome to Hemyock
Friday, February 10 2012 @ 07:41 PM UTC Hemyock WI - Come And Join UsHemyock WI is a friendly group of like minded women who meet for social and educational purposes on the first Tuesday of every month. We all like to have a laugh and our programme is varied with something to suit all tastes. Forthcoming meetings include quilting, an evening visit to Hemyock Castle, an evening visit to Cothay Gardens near Wellington, talks on Bridgwater Carnival and CLIC and we will be making our own decorations for our Christmas cakes in December. Each month there are two competitions. All entries are items which we already have in our homes, (we are all busy, working people) and the members choose the winners by placing coins on the entry they think is best. We also have a flower of the month competition (hastily picked from the garden on the way to the meeting usually!!) The money collected is sent to the ACCW charity annually. After the speaker, we have refreshments and a chance to talk to other members. Speakers have often remarked on the friendliness of our group so why don't you come along and give us a try. Ring Lynn Taylor on 01823 680104 for more information or to arrange to be picked up from your home if necessary. |
