Cricket Club - Apr & May 2007 Update

Cricket ClubPre-Season Nets

Nets are being held at Wellington School on Sunday 15th April 2007 between 1230 and 1.30 p.m. Four nets have been booked and all interested in playing for the club are welcome to attend on payment of a £2 fee.

New to the village? Always fancied playing cricket but never got around to it? Come and join us - you'll be made very welcome. League matches are played on Saturdays and friendly matches on Sundays throughout the summer from late April to September.

Contact Club Secretary Neil Punnett on 01823 680972 for further details.

WANTED - Cricket Tea Makers

Hemyock boasts a long-established and successful cricket club which is based in the heart of the village, playing on the recreation ground. The cricket club makes an important contribution to the life of the village through its activities - what can be more quintessentially English than cricket on the village field?

But no true village cricket match can take place without something else that is quintessentially English - the cricket tea. If you would like to join our group of teamakers, we pay £35 per match which includes the cost of ingredients. Matches are held on Saturdays and Sundays from May 6th to September 2nd.

Please contact the Club Secretary Neil Punnett on 01823 680972 (after 7 pm evenings)
