News From Hemyock Pre-School

Pre-SchoolThe new children have settled in brilliantly and in November we welcomed Poppie Bright and Andrew Pyne.  The children have been busy during autumn and during Guy Fawkes week they made rockets and painted colourful fireworks. Teddy Bears were our guests for
Teddy Bear week and we could not let the week pass without, of course, a Teddy Bear Picnic. The occasion was additionally special as Hemyock School Reception class came too! Dressing up is always great fun for pre-schoolers and the children did us proud on Children In Need day. The staff made a terrific effort too and ensured lots of fun was had by all.

Fundraising continues to be a huge focus as it is our only means of income. This time of year, we are asking you once again to help us out by supporting the various events we have organised: Christmas Bazaar, Sat 29th Nov, 2pm-4pm Parish Hall - come along and pick up some great bargains and goodies for Christmas. The ever-popular Christmas Bingo takes place Thurs 4th Dec, 7.15pm for 7.45 pm start. Finally, tickets are selling like hot cakes for the Grand Draw - we're eternally grateful to our local businesses and attractions for donating some superb prizes. Look out elsewhere in the Pump for details of our new '100' club, an opportunity to win a cash prize every month!

Looking forward to Christmas, Professor Fumble is back by popular demand and will entertain the children at their Christmas Party on Wed 10th Dec and the children will be busy rehearsing for their Nativity Play later in December.

We appreciate pockets are not as deep this year but thank you in advance for your support. We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the Culm Valley gun club for their recent generous donation and our thanks also to Sharon Hawkins for the money she raised through card sales.

Happy Christmas to you all!
