Despite the snow and very wintry weather leading up to the Spring Show, as usual our members managed to overcome all the difficulties and provide a wonderful display of spring flowers.

The trophy winners are listed below:-

We have enjoyed two meetings since the Show, Mr Horswood speaking about alpines and then Mr Usher gave a very interesting talk about Gertrude Jekyll. During the summer months we take a break from our usual monthly meetings and the following garden trips have been arranged. On each occasion, please meet in the Car Park by the Parish Hall when we can organise lifts for those who need them. Non-members are welcome on these trips; we just ask that you pay an additional £1 over and above the figures quoted.

June 10th Kia-Ora Farm and Gardens £8.00 to include cream tea Leave at 6.15 p.m.

July 8th Walled Gardens of Cannington £5.00 to include tea and cake Leave at 1.30 p.m.

August 12th Burrow Farm Gardens £4.50 plus tea and cakes Leave at 6.15 p.m.
There is also a small nursery and craft shop

Our Autumn Show is on 5 September, at 2.30 p.m. in the Parish Hall to which all are welcome. More details in the next issue of The Pump.

Enjoy your summer gardening and we look forward to seeing you at some of our events.
