Farewell To Headteacher

Perfect weather welcomed those who came to the  primary school to say thank you and farewell to headteacher Mrs Gill Peters. Parents and guests sat in the glorious sunshine with bunting blowing in the breeze as the children entertained in song and verse. Speeches were given by Mr Gary Chown - Executive Head, Mr Hugh Whittaker - Governor and Mrs Leanne Arrowsmith - Head of Learning.

Gill was presented with a tree, pen and walking pole along with personallised cards from each class and in return gave the school the gift of a birdbath. She said she would still be keeping in contact with the youngsters as she was now Head of Learning at another school within the Children First Federation 

Following the presentation the pupils chatted with Mrs Peters as they enjoyed ice cream whilst the guests were welcomed to tea and cake with the presentation cake depicting Gill's dog wearing a mortarboard causing much amusement.
