Wednesday, September 08 2010 @ 10:19 AM BST Blackdown Hills Breathe Easy Our Group provides a friendly atmosphere for people to meet and talk, find out more about their lung condition, participate in awareness events, hear some easy to understand talks given by excellent speakers and enjoy the social atmosphere. There are currently over 130 Breathe Easy support groups throughout the UK that are run by patients, for patients and you will be part of a network that has over 22,000 supporters. Breathe Easy has become an integral part of the support and care that patients receive. It has also grown into a powerful campaigning force for change - through the work of patients. The British Lung Foundation has a dedicated team to support and work with the Breathe Easy Groups across the UK. We receive really super support from the team in Bristol through Marilyn Crump. Our meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month (not August or December) at 2.00pm in the Baptist Church in Hemyock. Contact our Secretary Ron White for details on 01823 681020

Patient Care Improvements
Patient care for people with breathing difficulties is improving all the time according to Specialist Respiratory Nurse Sarah Godeck who was this months speaker at the Blackdown Hills Breathe Easy Group held at the Baptist Church, Hemyock last Thursday.
New Smoking Law Is Like A Breath Of Fresh Air!
The Blackdown Hills Breathe Easy Group are celebrating now they are able to hold their monthly meetings at their local pub. Until the smoking ban came in on July 1, smokey pubs have been a no-go area for people with lung problems.
