| Description: | The meeting is for those interested parties to discuss how we remember the momentous events of August 1914 when war was declared and resulted in 19,000 people from Devon losing their lives over the subsequent 4 years. Many more returned to lead less than full lives. The BBC have scheduled various national events on prime time TV around the centenary of this date over the holiday period 1st to 4th August 2014. We would welcome any contribution from local people with sensitive and interesting ideas. |
