In February we took part in the East Devon Group drama competition with our play "Zartan", produced by Lorraine Penngelly in which we came first, qualifying us for the Devon round which we also won. We then went on to represent Devon at the south west area round in Weymouth which we came second, again qualifying us for the next round. So then we went up to Cheltenham to compete in the National semi finals which we came a very respectable third. Also throughout our performances we picked up the best moment cup at the group round and the best actor went to Mark Davis at the group and county round as well as the national semi final. The beginning of April saw us off to the races for the day to raise money for Devon and Cornwall Multiple Sclerosis Society. The day included a cake sale, sponsored head shave and leg and chest wax and six of the female members getting in a bath full of mud - resulting in a mud fight. The total raised on the day was almost £800 but that figure is expected to reach £1500 by the time sponsor
money is collected.

The end of April marked the clubs 60th Annual Show and Sale, which was held at Exeter Livestock Centre and competitors included many past and present members. The day was a huge success with the overall champion going to Gilly Manley from Hemyock with her beef steer. Congratulations must go to all those who took part and good luck to all those who are competing at Devon County Show.

The beginning of May also saw the club win the East Devon Group Stock judging Day with mark Davis winning the overall points cup for the day.

The club was also presented their club shirts from their sponsor, Steve Lite and huge thanks must go to him as without his sponsorship the new shirts would not have been possible. Also congratulations and a huge thank you must go to Andy Broomfield who designed and ordered the shirts, as the design of the shirt came second in the national club shirt competition.
