Hemyock Kids learn about saving the environment at Church Holiday Club More than 80 children learnt how to care for the planet at Hemyock’s annual holiday club last week. Using Scripture Union’s Wastewatchers holiday club material the children learned how to look after their world through games, craft, music, drama and bible stories. Club coordinator leader Malcolm Beal said “We had a super time. The material from Scripture Union was very good and the atmosphere was great! We all learned a lot about the Gospel and God’s creation for which we are responsible.” Hope Bourne aged 9 who attends Hemyock School said “we played loads of games, sang songs, made stuff, I had fun with my friends … it was brilliant! The Holiday Club is run by local Churches.
