One of the joys of Hemyock is the state of the Churchyard. Whether it is in the snowdrop season or with the explosion of roses it is a part of the village which always gets favourable comments from visitors. Along with the dedicated work of the flower bed keepers this is largely due to one man, John Bimson. John has been cutting the grass with considerable expertise for more years than he cares to remember - he thinks it's about 22 - and we all owe him a debt of gratitude. Now though John feels it is getting towards the time to give his mower a rest.
So we will be looking for someone to take on his mantle. Or maybe a body of people such as successfully keep Culm Davy's churchyard looking tidy.
If you want to know more please see John or contact the Churchwardens.
