Budleigh 2 Hemyock 1

On a glorious Saturday morning Hemyock entertained Budleigh at Budleigh in what is turning out to be a very even Under 15 league. With new signing Nicky Pratt making his debut the management were looking towards a good game. Unfortunately Joe Palmer was ill so could not make the journey and this proved costly in the first 10 minutes as the Hemyock defence were static to allow Budleigh to take the lead. Finally Hemyock settled and had a lot of the ball in midfield but as usual it is in the final third that Hemyock are struggling as they could not put their superior football in midfield to good use. Too many times they took the wrong option.

Second half started with a few words in the boys ears and it was not long when good advantage from the ref allowed Ashley Jaji to get the deserved equaliser. After this Hemyock again dominated and if it was not for a dubious flag again against Ashley Jaji, Hemyock would have taken the lead they deserved.

Unfortunately the luck is not going Hemyock ways lately and a cross come shot with five minutes left gave Josh Allen no chance in goal. There was not enough time for Hemyock to score again so the final score was 2-1 to Budleigh.

Mom was John Smith for his defending as well as his runs forward.
