Welcome to Hemyock

Hemyock is the largest village on the Blackdown Hills, which is now designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The parish has an area of about 2350 hectares, and lies on the NW of the Blackdown Hills.

The village boasts a wide variety of clubs and activities to suit all ages and requirements - from bowls and tennis to WI and religious meetings.

UCCLT Housing Lettings

Community Land Trust This is the Lettings Allocation Policy for UCCLT Housing, the housing management company of the Upper Culm Community Land Trust. UCCLT Housing is purchasing eight homes on the Lower Greenfield estate south of Griffin Close in summer 2019. Four will be available for affordable rent, two for shared equity ownership and two for sale at a discounted price (leasehold).

Bus Service 20: Seaton - Colyford - Colyton - Shute - Wilmington - Honiton - Dunkeswell - Hemyock - Culmstock - Nicholashayne - Wellington - Taunton

The County Council contract for operating Service 20 reaches the end of its statutory maximum eight-year term on 25th May 2019.

Following a retender, a new contract has been awarded to Dartline who will operate the service in place of Stagecoach from Tuesday 28th May (Monday being a Bank Holiday with no service).

There are no changes to the route, timetable or single or day return fares. Weekly tickets will also be available. The National Bus Pass continues to be valid as now.
