A group of 35 members of Exmouth History Group came to Hemyock last Thursday 20th June for a guided tour of Historic Buildings.  Starting at the Church Rooms with tea/coffee and a display of old photos they made their way to Hemyock Castle for a fascinating tour of this Norman Manor House fortified over the years. The Lords of the Manor held the Estate which was passed to a number of wealthy West Country families including the Hydons, the Dynhams, the Asthorpes, the Pophams and the Simcoes all of whom added an International dimension to our History.  The group then toured St Mary's.  Due to the removal of the Pump a leaflet was provided on the Parish Pump.  The group have expressed thanks to the community for such an informative visit.
