Due to the parish church being flooded on Wednesday the 11.15a.m. service on Sunday 25th November will be held in the Church Room.

Thanks are extended to all those who helped clear the debris blockage and erect the porch barrier in the morning and to the small army of volunteers who helped with the clean up operation during the afternoon.

The drying out process is now taking place before the building is sanitised.

General News

It was with sadness that past and present members of Hemyock Singers heard of the death of Joan Lawrence, Vice President of the group. Joan had been involved with Hemyock Singers for many years mainly as its rehearsal pianist but also singing in a number of choral concerts. In past years Joan had also been involved with many of the stage shows produced by the group and had given hundreds of hours to individual soloists  private rehearsals.

Her service at St Mary's Church, where for many years she had been organist, was attended by Rev Tony Grosse, President, Hemyock Singers; Janice Bawler, Chairman; Rev Ron White, Musical Director, who gave the Eulogy, with past and present members leading the singing.
