Connecting Devon and Somerset Update

Phase 2 Procurement

In July Connecting Devon and Somerset partnership (CDS) issued its open tender to extend the superfast broadband scheme in phase two. £39.5m of public sector investment will deliver Next Generation Access broadband services (a minimum of 30 Mbps) and ultrafast broadband (of speeds greater than 100 Mbps) to tens of thousands of homes and businesses across Devon and Somerset in predominantly rural areas.

The Mary Waldron Trust may be able to assist you financially in vocational and further education (including Richard Huish College) with purchases of books and equipment, including computer requisites.  Those applying should normally be resident in Hemyock or Clayhidon and must have received full time education at one or more of:

It will be a dry night across the region. Milder in the southwest and colder for eastern parts as cloud cover increases from the west through the small hours. A little patchy frost or mist for eastern parts. Minimum Temperature -2 °C.

Cloud continuing to develop through the morning with patchy, mostly light, rain spreading southwards slowly. Dry and brighter likely to hang on across the far southwest. Rain clearing overnight. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mainly dry and bright on Sunday, but cloud and patchy rain spreading eastward. Mild and mainly cloudy on Monday and Tuesday with spells of rain, and at times breezy.
