The December 2007 40-Club Draw was held at the Catherine Wheel on Wednesday, December 5th at 8pm.

The lucky winner, and recipient of a cheque for £500,  was Ms Sarah Buckingham.

Plans are well ahead for the Festival of Trees in Advent. All the places have been taken up and the trees have been ordered. Decorators are searching through their attics and cupboards to find suitable decorations for their trees.  Staging will take place on the afternoon of Thursday, 13 December and continue on Friday 14 December ready for a short Service of Dedication at 7.30 pm.

Hemyock Youth Football Match Parents V Gemini FM Football Team

Sunday 2nd December 2pm

On the 2nd December at 2pm the parents of the children will hopefully show them how to do it as they take on the might of Gemini FM football team. The match will start at 2pm and there will be refreshments available in the new Longmead pavillion. The price of entry will be £2 for adults and £1 for children. So come along and cheer or boo on your coach or parent.

Despite heavy drizzle for the start of the event, Hemyock Tennis Club's autumn Mix-and-Match tournament went ahead on the afternoon of Sunday, October 28th.

A rather damp and murky start for many, with outbreaks of rain or drizzle and extensive hill fog. However, it will become generally drier with some brighter spells developing during the afternoon. Becoming very mild in the brighter spells. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

It will be a cloudy night, with outbreaks of rain, drizzle and extensive hill fog. However, there will be drier and clearer conditions reaching the north and west by morning. Minimum Temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday:

After a cloudy and damp start for some, it will become drier and brighter, with good spells of sunshine developing. Feeling decent in the sunshine, despite the northerly breeze. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Dry and bright, with sunny spells and turning increasingly colder during this period, with widespread frosts overnight. A brisk easterly wind developing by Thursday, making it feel much colder.
