'Get Up to Speed' project runs free talks and workshops for communities and businesses to help boost digital skills in order that people can make the most of current or future faster broadband speeds.  

 A free session on Google Apps is being run on Thursday 3rd December for local businesses and community organisations.

Annual awards are a chance to nominate Devon's recycling heroes
 
Communities across Devon are being called on to nominate their unsung recycling heroes, whose efforts have helped the county become one of the greenest in the UK.
 
The fourth Recycle Devon Thank You Awards are being held in February and from this week nominations for the eight categories, including those for schools, business, children and community groups, can be submitted.

Hemyock Parish Councillors were elected in May for a four year term; they are now looking to decide how best to use this time for the benefit of the Parish and Parishioners.  One important thread in this will be to develop an updated Parish Plan.  It is vital that the group working on this includes people outside the Council, so please let us know if you are able to help in any way.

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires Devon County Council to keep the Definitive Map and Statement of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded or deleted.  A review is currently being undertaken in the Parish of Clayhidon.

Cold with a mix of sunshine and showers today.

Today:

Cold, bright and perhaps frosty at first. Spells of sunshine through much of the day, but some will see occasional showers during the afternoon too, especially in the south and east. Feeling rather cold. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Lengthy clear spells for many overnight, though the skies will tend to cloud over in the north towards dawn. Chilly, with patchy frost and fog by dawn. Minimum Temperature -3 °C.

Thursday:

Mostly dry at first, though the skies becoming increasingly cloudy with patchy rain likely for a time. Gradually turning drier through the afternoon, with brighter spells to end the day. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Turning less cold. Brighter on Friday and Saturday with perhaps the odd shower, though there will be some sunny spells too. Sunday likely to bring outbreaks of rain.
