Knowing that there are a lot of community groups and organisations that are often looking for funding, the Council has subscribed to a Funding Database called GRIN. We get a monthly update which is posted on the PC website Grant Database – Hemyock Parish Council Do take a look it is packed full of information, about the types of activity that can be funded, criteria and closing dates.
It is also worth knowing that the County Councillor (Ray Radford) has a £5K fund for supporting local groups – details can be found on the DCC website – but potential applicants need to have a chat with him in advance of applying. See Locality budgets – Democracy in Devon
Parish Councillor, Corinne Matthews has some experience of writing grant applications, and has previously managed a variety of funding programmes – she is happy to support Groups looking for funding where she can. Contact details on the PC website.
