Christmas Lights

Wow Hemyock does it again!

Our judge Natasha Bradshaw was simply blown away by the wonderful displays all around the parish.

What an amazing display of lit-up houses and gardens. There are so many beautiful looking homes at this time of year, it is very difficult to judge the top few. From a very long short list the following few were selected as they stood out as striking for different reasons.

1st prize to the Church/Beacon Lights for the striking spectacle of pink trees in the churchyard, which are really stunning, unusual and enjoyed by everyone passing by.

2nde prize to St Ivel House for a clear wintery display of blue and white colour co-ordinated lights that are prominent entering Hemyock from the south at the bottom of Combe Hill.

3rd prize is split between two of the most creative displays that really show the Christmas spirit; a beautiful pink and white doorway at Pophayes near the bottom of the High Street and the Mill House at Whitehall for a beautiful white window display.

4th prize goes to 24 Eastland for a traditional Father Christmas themed cosy-looking house.

Well done everyone. We are so looking forward to next year.
