The Blackdown Hills Beer Festival is no longer taking place and the Directors have decided to set up a Trust to use the remaining funds raised. The Festival was originally set up to fund music in the Blackdown Hills and gave many thousands of pounds to local schools, music groups, choirs, etc. The Trust will give grants twice a year, in accordance with its objects: for the public benefit, to support the education, learning and appreciation of music in the Blackdown Hills (Area of Outstanding Beauty). Including financial support for teaching music, providing musical instruments, public workshops or events related to music.
Suitable applicants are invited to contact the Trust by e mail: blackdownmusictrust@gmail.com with details of their application in no more than 250 words by 1st September 2023 and successful applicants will be informed by 1st November 2023.
