Singers

We are a friendly adult choral group formed over 30 years ago with a membership of around 30. We enjoy singing a variety of music to provide entertainment for our audience and sometimes to raise money for local charities.

We perform a choral work or works in the spring and then a more informal concert with supper towards Christmas. We don’t hold auditions and we welcome singers of all abilities who are prepared to give it a go!

Rehearsals for our Spring Concert which includes ‘Magnificat’ by John Rutter start on Monday 11 January at 7.30pm in the Baptist Church. New recruits will be very welcome or returning former members.

Rehearsals for Hemyock Singers December concert start on Monday 14th September, 7.30pm at the Baptist Chapel.  All welcome - no auditions.  Why not simply turn up and see if it is  your type of thing.  Watch out for details of coffee morning when tickets for concert and meal will be on sale.

Murky overnight. Dry with sunny spells on Tuesday.

This Evening and Tonight:

There will be early evening sunshine in the west but the east will stay cloudy with drizzle and hill fog. Drizzle will ease overnight but hill fog will spread and mist patches or low cloud may form lower down too. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday:

Early mist, fog and low cloud make take a while to lift. Once the murk has gone, the southwest of England will have a warm dry day with sunny spells. Maximum Temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

After a murky start to a dry Wednesday morning, wind and rain will move eastwards. A dry and bright Thursday will be followed by further wind and rain on Friday.
