The February meeting of St Mary’s Guild fell on Ash Wednesday. Members and friends attended the communion service at St Mary’s Church and then went accross to the Church rooms for a delicious frugal Lent lunch of various homemade soups, homemade rolls and cheese followed by tea or coffee. At the March meeting members enjoyed a ‘do-it-yourself’ sesson when a variety of poems from the tradidtional to the humerous were read.
The April meeting, will be an open meeting when we hope to hear the story of Symonsburrow Chapel.
We are planning a trip to Stogumber for the flower festival in aid of Childrens Hospice South West. This will be on Saturday June 14th. Admission to the festival will be £5 and the coach fare will be £5 for non-members. Please contact Christine Brown 680 112 to book.
