On behalf of the Friends of St Mary's Church a big thank you to everybody who supported the Festival of Trees in Advent. In spite of the very cold weather the attendance was very good over the three days and people were able to still enjoy the spectacle over the Festive Season as the trees remained in place until 2 January. Every village organisation taking part really entered into the spirit of the occasion and this resulted in some imaginatively decorated trees which were much admired. The comments in the Visitors Book were wonderful.

Thank you to everyone who helped in any way - sponsoring, decorating, refreshments, stewarding, lighting or cleaning! It was a great team event which started last summer with fund-raising.

The excellent total raised is £2,219.67 which will go towards the up-keep of the Church.
