Hemyock

Next month sees the return to Hemyock of two popular performers in a concert at the parish church based on a theme of love.

The international harpist and singer Annie Mawson will be coming from her native Cumbria to perform a variety of songs and music for solo harp.

Annie has performed widely in England and abroad and is the founder of the Sunbeams Music Trust.

The Trust aims to take music to the disadvantaged, those with learning difficulties, the elderly and the mentally handicapped using the power of music to heal.

Providing support will be local group The Octagon Handbell Ringers. This group, based in Taunton has regularly performed in the area.

The event, organised by the Friends of St Mary's, is taking place on February 9 starting at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door.
