Archived Stories This fund exists primarily to help students in higher and further education,  with the purchase of their books and equipment, by making discretionary grants. It is managed under the auspices of the Local Authorities and the Charities Commission.

Under normal rules of eligibility for a grant, students must be resident in the civil parishes of either Clayhidon or Hemyock and must have received full time education at one or more of these centres:

Hemyock Primary School,
Uffculme Comprehensive School
East Devon College

Applications should be by letter to the secretary:
Mr M Reynolds, Hidon Mill, Clayhidon, CULLOMPTON EX15 3PL

They should indicate the course of study being followed and be accompanied by an itemised list of all books and/or equipment purchased, together with receipts.
The trustees will meet to consider applications some time after the new university term begins.

Grants are normally paid to successful applicants by late November or early December.
