The Mary Waldron Trust is a small charity set up many years ago to provide financial help to students who have been educated and reside in the Parishes of Hemyock or Clayhidon.
More specifically, the Trust awards grants to students in Higher or Further Education to assist with the expense of books or equipment. To qualify students must have received full time education at one or more of the following establishments – Hemyock Primary School, Uffculme School, or East Devon College and should normally be resident in either Hemyock or Clayhidon.
Applications should be made in writing to the Secretary Mr M. Reynolds, Hidon Mill, Clayhidon, Cullompton, Devon EX15 3PL. The letter should indicate the course being followed together with an itemised list of books or equipment purchased and receipts.
The Trustees meet to consider applications towards the end of November and the grants are paid out soon afterwards.
