Road closure 4th December Dunkeswell to Honiton
Information about some forthcoming drainage works which involve a road closure on the Honiton to Dunkeswell Road, near Combe Raleigh.
The road needs to close because a culvert has collapsed and requires replacement. We are also installing new gullies whilst the closure is in place. Please note the road will be excavated which means it will be impassable to vehicles. It is essential these works are carried out to keep road users safe and maintain our assets.
The works have been programmed to avoid the busy summer period but we are aware it will cause some inconvenience to road users and they should use an alternative route and allow more time for their journey. As well as erecting road signs in the area in advance of the works, we will be informing our press office, and contacting the major businesses in the area, particularly those in Dunkeswell. The works are programmed to commence on Monday 4 December for a maximum of 5 days.
Should you have any concerns regarding these works, or require further information, I would be happy to help.
