The Blackdown GP Practice in Hemyock has been given an overall rating of "Outstanding" by the Care Quality Commission after an inspection and a survey of patients. In answer to the questions "are services safe and effective?" the CQC recorded a verdict of "Good". The three other questions the commission asked, whether services were caring, well led and responsive to people's needs were all answered with the mark of "Outstanding". The inspection was carried out in June, and 27 patients took part in a survey. click here for report

A few showers on Saturday, fine and warm on Sunday.
A fine evening to come with some late sunshine in places. Remaining generally dry overnight, although isolated showers are possible in western coastal regions, especially through the Bristol Channel. Cooler than recent nights, particularly in rural areas. Isolated fog patches. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
A good deal of sunshine first thing and many places remaining dry all day. Cloud bubbling up with isolated showers breaking out, though warm sunny spells continuing for most. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Generally fine and settled on Sunday and into next week with plenty of strong sunshine, especially at first. Perhaps cloudier by Tuesday with thundery showers possible later. Turning much warmer.
