TRANSPORT FOR KEY WORKERS

Due to the reduction of bus services across the county, Devon County Council are trialling an on-demand subsidised taxi service for Devon residents for key workers accessing employment only.

This service is intended to replace those journeys which were previously made by bus - a subsidised flat fare will be charged.

Requests can only be made by email and should be sent to devonbus@devon.gov.uk

Please include the following information in your email:

NAME, ADDRESS, KEY WORKER STATUS, EMPLOYER / PAYROLL REF

JOURNEY REQUIREMENTS (pick up/drop off)

We will aim to respond to all requests as soon as possible during normal office hours – journeys should be booked 48 hours in advance of travel.

Thank you to the 100 or so parishioners that attended the meeting last night. You have given the parish councillors plenty to think about! Watch this page for updates.

The parish council has located supplies of grit around the parish for use on communal areas such as pavements, roads etc. Any unused grit will be collected back in and stored away after the winter.

Cavanna Homes have purchased the land adjacent to the cemetery.  They are attending a meeting on Monday 16th December at 7.30pm Forbes Lounge, Parish Hall to present their plans for the proposed development.  Come along and find out about their proposals.

Please note advance warning of a footpath closure.

Week commencing 23rd September - the parish council intends to resurface the footpath at the back of Castle Park which joins with the footpath at the back of the Doctors surgery.

It is anticipated that the work will take 5 days.  

Please use an alternative route whilst the works are carried out.
