Devon County Council has confirmed there is one other change to the Bus 20 Service.
The following changes will take effect from Monday 25th July:
- The service will no longer serve West Buckland, Somerset;
- The 1700 bus from Seaton to Taunton will terminate at Culmstock at 1820 and not carry on to Wellington and Taunton.
There are no other changes and the service will continue to be supported exclusively by Devon County Council.
Several parishioners have contacted me about Bus No 20. Somerset County Council is withdrawing its subsidy from the service.
I have contacted Somerset County Council who has told me . . .
There is only a slight change to service 20 as a result of the withdrawal of our funding, and this will only be implemented in the summer once the Colleges have broken up. The change is that West Buckland will be removed from the route, the service will continue to Wellington and Taunton.

A changeable week ahead with some drier and brighter periods.
Showers gradually becoming confined to Cornwall and parts of Devon overnight. Staying dry with plenty of clear spells elsewhere. Winds easing across the region. Feeling cool for many. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Any showers in the west will ease through the morning, leaving a mostly dry and bright day with sunny spells. Light winds making it feel slightly warmer than Tuesday. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Staying changeable through the week, as another band of rain moves in from the west on Thursday, before drier and brighter weather returns on Friday and much of Saturday.
