Devon County Council has confirmed there is one other change to the Bus 20 Service.
The following changes will take effect from Monday 25th July:
- The service will no longer serve West Buckland, Somerset;
- The 1700 bus from Seaton to Taunton will terminate at Culmstock at 1820 and not carry on to Wellington and Taunton.
There are no other changes and the service will continue to be supported exclusively by Devon County Council.
Several parishioners have contacted me about Bus No 20. Somerset County Council is withdrawing its subsidy from the service.
I have contacted Somerset County Council who has told me . . .
There is only a slight change to service 20 as a result of the withdrawal of our funding, and this will only be implemented in the summer once the Colleges have broken up. The change is that West Buckland will be removed from the route, the service will continue to Wellington and Taunton.

Warm sunshine at times, showers possible on Sunday and Monday.
A dry and often sunny day with patchy fair weather cloud developing. After a fairly chilly start, soon warming up in the strong May sunshine. Lighter winds than of late. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Remaining dry this evening with plenty of late sunshine. Variable cloud developing overnight to leave clear spells, and turning breezy especially along the south coast. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Another fine start. Some fair weather cloud bubbling up during the afternoon to leave sunny spells, with sunshine perhaps turning hazy later. Feeling warm but breezy, especially along the coasts. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Turning cloudier on Sunday with the chance of heavy, possibly thundery showers. Occasional sunny spells on Monday and Tuesday with further heavy showers. Warm with winds easing.
