I’m writing to you with some final details regarding the Tour of Britain Devon stage which will be travelling through Hemyock on Monday 3rd September and to ask for your assistance in ensuring its safe passage through the village.

Village Toilets
At long last Mid Devon District Council has finished refurbishing the toilets.
Whilst the parish council was waiting for the refurbishment to be completed, the cleaner that had been lined up nearly a year ago has understandably found alternative employment so the parish council is now looking for a cleaner.
Unsettled with heavy showers and strong winds.
Frequent showers continuing overnight, these often heavy with the risk of hail, particularly in the west. Some drier and clearer spells in the east. Strong winds continuing overnight, with coastal gales remaining possible. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Unsettled with a continuation of heavy showers and strong winds, though some bright spells possible in the east through the morning. Showers becoming more widespread through the evening. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Further showers through Sunday. Remaining unsettled to start the new week as bands of rain, bring prolonged heavy downpours. Feeling chillier, with overnight frost possible. Windier again on Tuesday.
