Welcome to Hemyock, Anonymous Tuesday, March 04 2025 @ 01:26 pm UTC
It is widely recognized that Hemyock has had significant housing development over recent years.
Members of Hemyock Parish Council held an additional meeting in order to discuss the Culm Development Plan (see here). This was because of their real interest and deep concern about areas of the village which were being considered by Mid Devon District Council for future affordable housing and employment development. The plan identifies three areas within Hemyock where affordable housing and/or employment construction could take place.
1st Hemyock Brownies are seen here celebrating with their certificates and rewards for raising £617.75 for Children with Leukaemia, through the Children’s Marathon Challenge and the Cheeky Monkey’s Marathon Challenge.
Dry and settled with plenty of sunshine developing today.
Early frost and local freezing fog patches will clear during the morning to leave a fine day across the region with a good deal of sunshine. Patchy low cloud affecting parts of the south coast and Scilly Isles though. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Remaining dry through the evening and overnight. There will be clear periods allowing a frost to return, though some low cloud and fog is also likely to form by dawn. Minimum temperature -4 °C.
Another quiet day is on the cards weather wise, with low cloud, frost and fog soon clearing to leave lots of sunshine. A gentle breeze, but feeling pleasant again. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Dry and sunny at first on Thursday, but clouding over with some showers developing later. Further showery rain during Friday. Skies brightening again on Saturday. Often breezy, but noticeably milder.
