Welcome to Hemyock, Anonymous Saturday, May 24 2025 @ 07:15 pm UTC
It is widely recognized that Hemyock has had significant housing development over recent years.
Members of Hemyock Parish Council held an additional meeting in order to discuss the Culm Development Plan (see here). This was because of their real interest and deep concern about areas of the village which were being considered by Mid Devon District Council for future affordable housing and employment development. The plan identifies three areas within Hemyock where affordable housing and/or employment construction could take place.
1st Hemyock Brownies are seen here celebrating with their certificates and rewards for raising £617.75 for Children with Leukaemia, through the Children’s Marathon Challenge and the Cheeky Monkey’s Marathon Challenge.
Rain moves eastwards with scattered showers to follow.
A band of persistent rain arrives from the west, with heavy outbreaks at times. It will be increasingly windy, with the rain turning showery with some clear spells by dawn, but remaining rather mild overnight. Minimum temperature 13 °C.
Rather cloudy at first but turning brighter into the afternoon with a few scattered showers, these perhaps heavy. Windier and slightly cooler than Saturday, especially along the coasts. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Remaining unsettled with a mixture of sunshine and showers by day and periods of more prolonged rain overnight. Remaining breezy, especially in the showers. Temperatures near average.
