All Saint’s Church, Culmstock was the venue for a choral concert given by Hemyock Singers with proceeds going to two charities supported by the Blackdown Mothers’ Union who provided excellent refreshments at the end of the evening
All of the music and some of the words had been composed by member Bob Brien who acted as Musical Director for the evening.
Despite overcast skies and another event being held in the village the annual Summer Fete organised by St Mary’s Parish Church was a great success raising over £1,800.
A pleasantly warm spring day.
Early morning mist and fog soon clearing, leaving a widely dry and fine day. Plenty of sunshine, with clear skies for all but the far southwest, where some patchy cloud may linger. Warm with temperatures higher than on Sunday. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Clear skies bring plenty of evening sunshine and clear skies overnight. Turning chilly, though most places remaining frost-free, with some mist and shallow fog forming in rural spots by dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Another widely warm and sunny day after any early morning fog has cleared. Light winds for most, though becoming breezier along the south coast. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
A warm week with light winds and plenty of sunshine as high pressure continues to dominate. Generally light winds, though breezy at times along the coast. Slightly cooler on Friday.
