All Saint’s Church, Culmstock was the venue for a choral concert given by Hemyock Singers with proceeds going to two charities supported by the Blackdown Mothers’ Union who provided excellent refreshments at the end of the evening
All of the music and some of the words had been composed by member Bob Brien who acted as Musical Director for the evening.
Despite overcast skies and another event being held in the village the annual Summer Fete organised by St Mary’s Parish Church was a great success raising over £1,800.
Dry with clear skies overnight. Windy, especially coasts and moors.
A fine end to the day, with plenty of evening sunshine. Remaining dry with clear skies for many overnight. Winds will be strengthening further, especially over exposed coasts and Moors, where rather gusty at times. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Another fine day with lengthy periods of spring sunshine, though sunshine turning hazy at times across the far southwest. Feeling less warm than on Friday, with brisk easterly winds continuing. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Remaining dry and settled on Sunday and into next week. Chilly nights, though daytime temperatures edging back up and feeling warm in the sunshine. Breezy at first, then winds easing.
