All Saint’s Church, Culmstock was the venue for a choral concert given by Hemyock Singers with proceeds going to two charities supported by the Blackdown Mothers’ Union who provided excellent refreshments at the end of the evening
All of the music and some of the words had been composed by member Bob Brien who acted as Musical Director for the evening.
Despite overcast skies and another event being held in the village the annual Summer Fete organised by St Mary’s Parish Church was a great success raising over £1,800.
Cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain overnight. Breezy on Thursday.
Scattered showers spread northeastwards through this evening, some heavy spells at times. Showery rain then moving into the west through the early hours and turning breezy. Warm and humid. Minimum temperature 16 °C.
Cloudy at first with showery rain clearing eastwards. Drier by the afternoon with plenty of sunny spells. Feeling warm in the sunshine, but less humid. Breezy with winds easing later. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Mainly cloudy with a few scattered showers, but some drier interludes too, especially by Sunday. Breezy on Friday with winds easing over the weekend. Increasingly warm and feeling rather humid.
