Archived Stories Each organisation pays £10 per year (to cover costs) which give access to editing their space on hemyock.org, this website.  This allows them to have and edit a Static Page as shown on the left hand bar; to be able to make a Calendar entry as shown on the right hand bar, and to enter a Story, like this!   Having lots of local information from local people keeps it current and informative.

Archived Stories Following the service to celebrate Pentecost (Whitsun) at 11.15 am on Sunday 11th May the Parish Church of St Mary's will be closed for a period of approximately 5 weeks whilst the interior is redecorated.

A delightful display of entertainment was presented by the girls of 1st Hemyock Brownie Pack at a parents' evening to close the term and to help them obtain their Entertainers badge.

The evening included playlets, readings, recorder, guitar, violin and keyboard, tap dancing and magic.

Archived Stories Rev David Sherwood chaired the annual Vestry Meeting of St Mary's Church, Hemyock when Churchwardens for the coming year are elected.

Retiring Wardens David Bawler, who had served nine years, and Michael Cooper, who had served one, were thanked for their work.

Archived Stories At the annual general meeting of Hemyock Singers the decision was made to look at formalising the separation of the Group.

Reflecting on the history of Singers, Chairman, Janice Bawler, reminded the meeting how the group had evolved over almost 40 years. What had begun as a Music Appreciation Club within Hemyock Leisure Centre had grown into a highly successful Society putting on choral concerts and on stage, award winning musicals. Today the success continues with entertaining concerts, plays and pantomimes.
