Archived Stories Our French friends arrived today (Thursday 21st). There are no tickets left for the Saturday evening event at Hemyock Parish Hall, but people are welcome to attend the tree planting ceremony at Longmead in Hemyock on Saturday afternoon.

Archived Stories Devon County Council are reviewing the Definitive Map & Statement for Hemyock and are seeking proposals from organisations and individuals about footpaths, bridleways and byways. Changes and amendments to the map will be considered where plausible and backed up by sufficient data. Please contact our Parish Clerk, Anne Kingston on 680918.

The meeting will include a talk about Military Insignia and Regimental Identification, Badges etc.  Please bring along any examples of such Regimental badges.

Uffculme School Exchange

Archived Stories A number of local youngsters who attend Uffculme School recently took part in a school exchange visit to Wellington's twin town, Lillebonne, France and a return visit has just been enjoyed. The French visitors have enjoyed visits to Montacute, Glastonbury and the Peat Moors Centre, Explore@ Bristol, and Crealey Adventure Park. Their English friends joined them for an evening at the Wellesley Cinema and two days were spent with host families. Prior to arriving the group spent a few hours visiting London

Whilst in France the English students visited Paris, Honfleur, Bayeux, Arromanches and Parc Asterix as well as enjoying the Easter weekend with host families
