Hemyock

Rev David Aylmer Evans retired to Hemyock following his final living as Vicar of a group of churches on the Somerset levels. His curacies had been in Wales and Maccelesfield, followed by a living in Chester before moving into school work and later becoming a counsellor at South Molton School and Community College.

Devon County Council are reviewing the Definitive Map & Statement for Hemyock and are seeking proposals from organisations and individuals about footpaths,
bridleways and byways.

This year is Hemyock's 40th Holiday Club and we are having a Jungle Jamboree!!!

We now have some more copies of the book produced to mark the 1100th anniversary celebrations of the Foundiing of the diocese. "A Pilgrims Guide" has details of ALL Devon's churches.

A time enjoy a meal together and raise some money to help pay for our new kitchen. There will be a simple 2 course lunch with a vegetarian option on Wednesday 24th June, and Wednesday 8th July, from 12.30pm

You may be aware of the fact that Rev Sherwood has brought together a small group from all our churches to help look at some of the ideas that float around the Benefice, and help the Benefice grow.
