In making their decision, the judges highlighted the vibrant life of the village and the many associations and activities which were on offer to all ages. Of particular interest to the judges were the sports facilities and clubs, which had a genuine focus on providing for both young and old. The report stated that “there is definitely something for everyone and more”
Dry, hot and sunny.
Another dry, fine day with widely blue skies and plenty of strong sunshine. A few fair weather clouds bubbling up. Feeling hot inland with generally light winds, though a touch cooler and breezier along the coasts. Maximum temperature 32 °C.
Staying dry this evening with plenty of late sunshine. Clear skies and light winds overnight may allow some patchy mist and fog to form by dawn. Feeling warm and muggy. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
Temperatures a degree or two lower on Sunday, though still widely very warm with sunny spells and light winds. More cloud in the afternoon with a few showers possible later. Maximum temperature 30 °C.
Turning more changeable next week with showers at times, these sometimes heavy and thundery. Temperatures briefly dropping back closer to the seasonal average.
