It was with sadness that past and present members of Hemyock Singers heard of the death of Joan Lawrence, Vice President of the group. Joan had been involved with Hemyock Singers for many years mainly as its rehearsal pianist but also singing in a number of choral concerts. In past years Joan had also been involved with many of the stage shows produced by the group and had given hundreds of hours to individual soloists  private rehearsals.

Her service at St Mary's Church, where for many years she had been organist, was attended by Rev Tony Grosse, President, Hemyock Singers; Janice Bawler, Chairman; Rev Ron White, Musical Director, who gave the Eulogy, with past and present members leading the singing.
