St Mary's Church has been overwhelmed by the response to its appeal for donations to the local foodbank.

Unfortunately a number of items have been out of date and will need to be destroyed as the foodbank will not permit these to be distributed.  If you would check the date on any contribution we would be grateful

Thank you for your continuing support

A note from County Highways....

The A303 is one of two main routes into the Westcountry and has been the subject of campaigns to improve the route for many years. The Government commissioned a study by the Highways Agency into improving the entire road, which is due to report in Autumn 2014.

Devon County Council, supported by other local authorities and business leaders is conducting a consultation in parallel to look at what improvements might be made along the stretch of road from Honiton to Broadway.

These findings will feed into the main study, but may also enable the authority to make a start on improvements earlier if Government support can be achieved. It is unlikely that dualling the road will be a potential solution and improvements will take place over time – up to 15 years, as and when funding becomes available.

As a result, we are interested to understand views from road users, communities and businesses along the corridor. Once data has been collected, it will form the basis of a further consultation during the latter half of 2014. The closing date for responses is 22 April 2014. More information will be available from www.a303ahead.co.uk or transportplanning@devon.gov.uk.

Our thanks for your cooperation.

We would therefore be most grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete this survey here. More information is available on our website: www.a303ahead.co.uk, or you can contact us on transportplanning@devon.gov.uk, or at Planning, Transportation and Environment, Devon County Council, Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 4QW. The closing date for replies is 22 April 2014.
