The parish council set up a separate group to look at the management of the commons.  The Commons Management Group meet regularly and the next meeting is on Thursday 21st November.  The group will be discussing the future management of Shuttleton Common.  Ed Hopkinson, from Devon Wildlife Trust will be attending and giving his views and recommendations on what the group should be doing over the next year or so.  Click here for agenda.

The Parish Council will hold a meeting on Wednesday 23rd October at 7.30pm in the Forbes Lounge, Parish Hall to discuss the recent planning approval for planning application 12/001498/OUT - Old Station Yard Site - erection of 8 dwellings and 4 employment units.

The council will consider if it wants to enter into negotiations with regard to the potential sale of some of the land owned by the council which forms part of this planning application.  This includes the potential relocation of the BMX track.

Hemyock Cricket Club's Autumn QUIZ NIGHT is being held at the Parish Hall on SATURDAY 28th SEPTEMBER starting at 8 pm. £60 cash prize for the winning team, plus a grand raffle.

Application to be a Director of the CLT

Applications are invited for the role of Director of the Upper Culm Community Land Trust. Applications must be received by the Company Secretary by Saturday 28th September 2013. Please request a copy of the Application Form from neilpunnett@aol.com ). 

Directors are subject to the Rules of the Upper Culm Community Land Trust Ltd. which may be found on the hemyock.org website at : http://hemyock.org/index.php/article/20120813100859798

The directors on the Trust’s board are appointed by members at the annual general meeting. All candidates for a board position must find existing members of the Trust to act as a proposer and seconder and then declare their intention to stand for the board by e-mail or in writing to the Company Secretary 14 days before the meeting.
