'Get Up to Speed' project runs free talks and workshops for communities and businesses to help boost digital skills in order that people can make the most of current or future faster broadband speeds.  

 A free session on Google Apps is being run on Thursday 3rd December for local businesses and community organisations.

Annual awards are a chance to nominate Devon's recycling heroes
 
Communities across Devon are being called on to nominate their unsung recycling heroes, whose efforts have helped the county become one of the greenest in the UK.
 
The fourth Recycle Devon Thank You Awards are being held in February and from this week nominations for the eight categories, including those for schools, business, children and community groups, can be submitted.

Hemyock Parish Councillors were elected in May for a four year term; they are now looking to decide how best to use this time for the benefit of the Parish and Parishioners.  One important thread in this will be to develop an updated Parish Plan.  It is vital that the group working on this includes people outside the Council, so please let us know if you are able to help in any way.

Local Weather

Becoming wet and windy overnight, turning drier for Monday.

This Evening and Tonight:

A mostly dry evening. In the east there will be some clear spells and it will be cold with a frost likely in places. Cloudier further west. Wet, windy weather will push eastwards overnight, arriving in all parts by dawn. Minimum Temperature -2 °C.

Sunday:

Thick cloud, rain and strong winds will persist across the region for much of the day, giving a very grey feel. However, temperatures will be a few degrees above average. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday, turning drier and brighter after early rain clears. Dry early Tuesday before wet and windy weather spreads east. This clearing later on Wednesday then some sunshine and blustery showers.
